UNHCR I Emergency Ukraine
With critical funding now uncertain, refugee families face the risk of losing life-saving aid when they need it most.
In recent months, Russian attacks have intensified, with damage to people’s homes and essential infrastructure like schools and hospitals, and displacement from frontline areas. With humanitarian needs growing, more support is needed.
Our teams are on the ground inside Ukraine to protect and assist people forced to flee and impacted by the attacks. It is critical to help them sustain their strength, including ensuring they are safe and to keep their hopes alive for a better future.
The people of Ukraine must not be forgotten and deserve our ongoing support.
How would you like to donate?
By making a regular donation to Switzerland for UNHCR, you will provide refugees with ongoing relief and protection and help them regain hope for a better future.
We have stockpiles of aid inside Ukraine and neighbouring countries. We urgently need cash donations to help fulfill these supplies and to provide cash assistance directly to refugees from Ukraine and those who are displaced within the country so they can purchase the essentials they need. Your gift will make a huge difference in their life. Our teams are on the ground right providing forcibly displaced people with life-saving aid.
Urgent needs include shelter, relief items such as blankets, sleeping mats, jerry cans to carry clean water. UNHCR also offers protection services, especially for those most vulnerable, such as unaccompanied children, women and older people, who are the vast majority of those who have fled their homes.
If you have questions for us, or if you experience difficulties while processing your donation on this site, please email us at [email protected] or call +41 22 552 78 08
If you are resident in Switzerland, your donation is tax deductible. Direct federal tax: 20% of net income, provided that the amount of the donation is at least 100 francs. Municipal taxes: depending on the canton, up to 20% of net income for individuals and 20% for companies. For further information, please contact the tax authorities in your canton.
However, in the very rare case that this emergency response becomes fully funded, your support will be used to provide vital assistance to people forced to flee around the world.
We will happily explore with you the ways in which you can maximize your impact on the fate of people forced to flee in the way that fits you best. Please email us at [email protected] or call +41 22 552 78 08.
