Emergency Relief: Standing Together for Those Forced to Flee
Bombings in Lebanon and the conflict in Sudan, worsened by famine, are causing widespread displacement. Syrians face severe hardships from prolonged crisis and earthquakes. Away from the headlines, in countries like Ukraine, Myanmar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Yemen or Venezuela, millions of forcibly displaced people are being pushed to the brink.
No one plans to become a refugee. However, currently 120 million people are displaced worldwide, forced to flee to escape conflict, persecution, or other humanitarian crises.
For over 70 years, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, has been there to keep them safe and our emergency teams are prepared to be deployed within 72 hours.
When a crisis unfolds, we rush life-saving supplies, humanitarian experts and funds to the emergency. We strive to protect people from harm and ensure they can reach safety.
We are there throughout the initial crisis and we stay long after the headlines have moved on.
By donating today, you're extending a lifeline to those who are desperately seeking refuge.
