Syrian families are continuing to return home to houses damaged by years of conflict. They desperately need your support to keep warm this winter.
Since the fall of the former government in 2024, Syrians have begun to return home. But conditions remain difficult, and widespread destruction has left millions of homes badly damaged or destroyed.
When freezing winter temperatures arrive, a damaged roof or shattered window can prove deadly. With the threat of rain, freezing wind, and even snowfall, Syrian families returning to damaged homes urgently need your help to stay warm this winter.
Your donation could help a family make a damaged home safe this winter. It could support essential repairs – including fixing roofs and installing windows and doors – or provide warm clothing, blankets and mattresses, along with cash assistance for food, medicine and heating fuel.

If you are resident in Switzerland, your donation is tax deductible. Direct federal tax: 20% of net income, provided that the amount of the donation is at least 100 francs. Municipal taxes: depending on the canton, up to 20% of net income for individuals and 20% for companies. For further information, please contact the tax authorities in your canton.
However, in the very rare case that this emergency response becomes fully funded, your support will be used to provide vital assistance to people forced to flee around the world.
